There are professionals, programs, resources and other parents and caregivers of children who have experienced trauma who can help you navigate through the process of identification and treatment for your child. And you can start here.
The Center for Child Trauma Assessment and Service Planning (CCTASP) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine specializes in assessment, treatment planning, and application of assessment and service interventions for under-served children, youth, and families in public sector settings. The purpose of the Center is to build an infrastructure to assist child-serving systems in understanding, recognizing, and responding to the developmental effects of child trauma.
